This is sick?

Just one question though... how do you got about producing this kind of music?... i mean getting sick wobbles out a vst takes tons of messing with different plugins and eqing in dubstep but how would go about doing something like this? do you use some sort of sample pack or use a synthesizer? 5/5

CFox responds:

Thanks for listening, for this I used instruments from Vienna Symphonic Library and a few that came with Logic Pro. There's a bit of a learning curve to use VSL but the sounds are great, really worth it.

DOPE

This got my head noddin the whole way. Do you want me to put some random rap over it and send it you? just to hear how it sounds. I could see atmosphere rapping over this perfectly.

Crueltool responds:

Thanks man! I will glad if you can use it in the right way. Send a link after...

Really Solid

Just in the beginning you might want to have the piano at 0:14 to burst through really loud as it does at 0:40 seconds in and have everything else fade in as usual. I feel like the piano would bring more power to the beginning of your track. really digging the arpeggio in the beginning though and the rest of the track is sick. Keep it up bro.

DJ-Hectic responds:

Good idea about the piano, I'll definitely bring up the level in the intro. Thanks for the feedback man, glad you liked it!

so happy :D

the melody that starts at 1:20 is so ambient and happy, it really made me feel good inside...if you keep making tracks like this you'll establish a name for yourself real quick. Really nice vibes from this one bro keep it up. Really different from alot of stuff I hear people try to produce. only reason not 10/10 is that the beginning is a lil awkward with the drums on top of the ambient sample you got goin, the ambient sample is strong enough by itself. Might be better to drop the drums for the first 4 bars or so? or have them fade in with heavy reverb? really solid track tho.

Nijsse responds:

Thanks for the review! I know it's not perfect, it's not a style I usually try to make. Maybe the track does need some heavy drops, but like I said before, that's not what I was going for. Keep up the great work with your in-depth reviews. =)

Eargasm

Brilliant. I wish I had your skills. Around the 3 minute mark the song just amazed me. What program you use? The traditional piano combined with the metalstep in the beginning is also pretty majestic. 10/10

mr-jazzman responds:

Haha I wouldn't call this skill my friend. This, I believe, is inspiration handed to me right from God himself...I almost can't credit myself for it; each time I hear this thing, I feel like it's someone else's work lol...someone better. But, every once in a while, I suppose there's that inclination to make something worthwhile. This is by far the best song that I've ever been blessed to hear in my head...although I don't think it will be too long now before inspiration grants me something else that can compete! =) I (relatively speaking, of course...because, as I said, I was blessed this too from big guns upstairs) made this song with the two most important things in my sonic arsenal: FL Studio, and Superior Drummer. I'm really glad you liked the piano element and the metalstep, those were the two things I was pulling for to catch peoples' attentions! =D Thanks for the review man, it means a lot!
